Fulfillment Policies

Fulfillment policies define assignment mode and proof requirements for delivery handoffs

Fulfillment Policies define how delivery work is assigned and what proof must be captured at each handoff stage. A saved policy can be selected on one or more Delivery Services, so teams do not need to repeat the same proof settings on every service.

Go to Delivery Management -> Fulfillment Policies.

Fulfillment Policies list

Policy list

The list shows saved policy profiles. Use it to check:

  • Name: the policy name used when selecting a profile on a service.
  • Assignment Mode: how work is assigned to drivers.
  • Driver Pickup: photo and signature requirements at driver pickup.
  • Driver Delivery: photo and signature requirements at driver delivery.
  • Client Pickup: photo and signature requirements when the client pickup stage applies.
  • Status: active or inactive.
  • Created At / Updated At: when the policy was created or changed.

Search finds policies by name. Use Columns to change visible columns. The row action menu contains View, Edit, and Delete for active policies.

Each policy needs a name and assignment mode. The description is optional but useful when several services share different proof rules.

Assignment mode

Manual means dispatchers or staff manually assign drivers.

Automatic means Ondi can assign work automatically based on the tenant's assignment rules and available driver context.

Hybrid combines automatic behavior with manual control, depending on the tenant workflow.

Choose the mode that matches how the operations team actually dispatches work. If a service needs a different mode from the shared policy, use custom policy mode on that Delivery Service.

Proof settings

Proof settings are grouped by stage:

  • Driver Pickup applies when the driver picks up goods.
  • Driver Delivery applies when the driver delivers goods.
  • Client Pickup applies when the workflow includes a client pickup stage.

For each stage, enable Photo Required and/or Signature Required when the driver or staff member must capture that proof before completing the step. If a switch is off, the proof is optional or not required by that policy.

Driver Delivery photo is enabled by default on new policies.

Policy detail page

Open View from the row action menu to inspect a policy.

Fulfillment policy detail

The detail page shows the policy status, assignment mode, proof requirements, linked service count, and linked delivery services. If the linked services count is zero, no service is currently using that policy profile.

Use the detail page before editing a policy that is shared across services. Changes to a shared policy can affect every service that selects that profile.

How policies connect to services

On a delivery service, Policy Mode controls which policy is used:

  • Tenant Default uses the tenant's default policy.
  • Profile lets you select one saved fulfillment policy.
  • Custom stores assignment mode and proof rules directly on that service.

Use profiles for repeatable rules, such as "delivery photo and signature required." Use custom mode only when one service needs a special exception.
