Add Ads in your Shop

Add ads illustration

Advertisements help promote products, categories, seasonal offers, and important campaigns inside the storefront. They should guide customers toward the right action without making the shop feel crowded.

Use ads when the tenant wants to highlight a new collection, a limited-time offer, a category, a product, or a message that should appear in the customer shopping flow. Ads are part of the Store Front customer experience, so they should be treated like storefront content, not only admin records.

In the admin portal

Go to Storefront -> Advertisement.

Advertisement list screen

The list shows advertisement title, type, placement, status, priority, dates, impressions, clicks, and actions.

Create an advertisement

Click Create Advertisement.

Create advertisement screen

You can configure type, placement, priority, active status, schedule, creative content, and target link. A good advertisement has a clear destination. If an ad promotes a product, link it to that product. If it promotes a category, link it to the category. If it promotes a campaign, make sure the destination exists before publishing.

Placements

Advertisements can be used in key storefront areas such as:

  • Home page
  • Category pages
  • Product pages
  • Cart
  • Checkout

The placement matters. A home page ad is good for discovery. A product page ad should relate to the product the customer is viewing. A cart or checkout ad should be used carefully because customers are already close to purchase.

Step-by-step setup

  1. Go to Storefront -> Advertisement.
  2. Click Create Advertisement.
  3. Choose the advertisement type.
  4. Choose where it should appear in the storefront.
  5. Set the priority if multiple ads can appear in the same placement.
  6. Add the creative content and media.
  7. Choose the target product, category, or link.
  8. Set active status and schedule dates.
  9. Save the ad.
  10. Open the storefront preview and confirm the ad appears in the correct place.

Best practices

  • Use one clear message per ad.
  • Keep visuals consistent with your brand.
  • Link ads to the most relevant product, category, or campaign page.
  • Use priority carefully so the most important campaign appears first.
  • Set start and end dates for seasonal campaigns.
  • Remove or pause ads when the linked product is out of stock.

Where customers see it

Customers see ads as part of the storefront layout. Depending on placement, ads can appear on the home page, category pages, product pages, cart, or checkout. A helpful ad should make the next step easier. A distracting ad can reduce conversion, especially during checkout.
