Driver Handoff and Manifest History

After pickup submission, the driver uses the manifest detail screen to continue the handoff and review progress.
Step 1: Open The Picked-Up Manifest
- Open Transfer Manifests.
- Open the manifest for the current pickup.
- Check the manifest number, institution, source branch, and processing point.
Use the manifest detail screen as the driver’s proof of what was picked up and where it must be handed off.
Step 2: Arrive At Processing
When the driver reaches the processing point:
- Open the manifest.
- Tap the arrival action.
- Confirm the manifest now shows the next receiving stage.
- Hand the physical items to processing staff.
After arrival, the manifest moves to an awaiting receipt stage. The next actions are handled by dispatcher or processing staff in the portal.
Step 3: Review History After Handoff
The driver can use the detail screen to understand what happened after handoff:
- Open the manifest again from history.
- Check the counts: expected, received, exception, and created orders.
- Review item statuses if there is a dispute.
- Review exceptions if processing staff reported a missing or invalid item.
- Review created delivery orders after processing is complete.
What The Driver Cannot Do
After pickup submission, the driver normally cannot:
- Add more pickup barcodes.
- Remove items from the manifest.
- Receive items.
- Assign destination addresses or branches.
- Create delivery orders.
- Resolve processing exceptions.
Those actions belong to dispatcher or processing staff.
When To Contact Dispatch
The driver should contact dispatch when:
- The processing point is wrong.
- A picked-up item was missed or scanned incorrectly.
- The driver cannot tap the expected arrival action.
- Branch staff gives additional items after pickup submission.
- The manifest status does not match the physical handoff.
